OT Week October 2022

Australian Health Professionals are thrilled to celebrate OT week 2022. OT, or occupational therapy week first kicked-off in 2010, and since then has become an important event amongst the healthcare community to promote and celebrate the occupational therapy profession. The OT week 2022 theme is “what OT means to me”.

World Occupational Therapy Day

This year, OT week runs from 24-30 October with World Occupational Therapy Day being held on 27 October 2022. OT week is the annual national week to celebrate and talk about all things occupational therapy. World Occupational Therapy Day provides the opportunity to heighten the visibility of occupational therapists’ development work programs and the many benefits of occupational therapy services.

How to celebrate occupational therapy Australia

The broad theme of “what OT means to me” enables the entire OT community, across the country, to shine a spotlight on the care and professionalism occupational therapists deliver to their clients, and in addition allows clients to talk about the benefits of OT.

There are many ways to participate in World Occupational Therapy Day October 2022 including:

Download and share the social media tiles, services and resources from Occupational Therapy Australia and post them on InstagramFacebookLinkedIn or Twitter.

Host an event

Plan and host an event or CPD session for world occupational therapy week. Provide the date, time, and registration details to OTA by completing the OT week enquiry form to have your event featured on their website.

Contact your OT team and ask them to reflect and share one of their favourite client stories for each day of OT week.
